Established in 2005, the National Association of Community Electricity Users-Nepal (NACEUN) has demonstrated how community involvement in power distribution can help reduce leakage and improve supply quality.
As NACEUN organized an event to mark its 22nd anniversary, founding president Dilli Ghimire, former energy minister Deepak Gyawali—a key figure behind implementing consumer-based electricity distribution—and current president Narayan Gyawali stood together on the dais in a show of solidarity. Having led the organization for over 15 years, President Gyawali has significantly strengthened its foundation and expanded its organizational capacity.
